The LoL tier system and rank-up strategies that change every season.
롤 토토League of Legends' ranked system undergoes slight changes each season, with the 2024-2025 season set to adopt a "split" format, with each split offering separate rewards and objectives. Learn how to properly understand your skill level and strategically climb the ranks.
Tier structure
The tiers in LoL are Iron → Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Emerald → Diamond → Master → Grandmaster → Challenger. Master and above are managed separately through a numerical ranking system (LP).
LP and promotion matches
Each tier is divided into tiers 1-4, and reaching 100 LP (League Points) grants you the opportunity to advance. Previously, there were promotion matches, but now, once you reach 100 LP, you automatically advance to a higher tier. Losing a match will result in a decrease in LP, and if your LP falls below 0, you face relegation.
Key strategies for ranking up
First, narrow down your champion pool. Many beginners play a different champion every game, but if you want to quickly climb the ladder, focusing on two or three champions is effective. Playing the same champions repeatedly allows you to naturally master skill combos, counter matchups, and item builds.
Second, aim to win in a strong lane. Gaining more CS than your opponent, securing solo kills, or taking down a tower all greatly benefit your team. Focus on your lane with the mindset that "if I'm strong, the team wins."
Third, avoid champions or positions with low win rates. Check your win rates for each champion on statistics sites (OP.GG, Pochungdodge, etc.), and be bold and abandon champions that don't suit your hand.
Fourth, mental management is key. Take a break during a losing streak. Playing emotionally increases mistakes and LP losses. Set a daily target number of games and make it a rule not to play more than that. LoL Toto
